PHILOSOPHY

Here at Utah Hospice Specialists three key principles guide our efforts and care. We believe that the three principles make all the difference in the world to you, your caregiver, and your family members. The three principles are: Your Care - our doctors, nurses, social workers and other staff are specialists in Hospice Care; Your Comfort - we listen to you and respond honestly and respectfully; Your Peace - we help you reconcile the significance of your experiences, and we reverence your life and cherish our opportunity to be a part of it. We know that a sincere focus on these three principles is needed in Hospice today.

We believe that Hospice should be about you and life, past present and future. Hospice is a time for love, care, forgiveness and support among loved ones. We are committed to holding your hand, offering you our shoulder, and lightening your burdens.
We reaffirm that LIFE IS A GIFT; a wonderful gift we are honored to share with you.

OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLES

Principles of Your Care

We are a team of experienced, well-trained and compassionate physicians, nurses, counselors and volunteers - "The Hospice Care Team".

We admit patients with a physician's order within 2 hours.

We commit to a visit with the patient from each service with seven days of admission and as often as required to meet the patient's needs.

We coordinate with our patients and their families or caregivers. If the patient lives in a facility we attend team meetings and notify staff of our presence.
