Brighter Day Flower Deliveries

Volunteers deliver flowers to patients to “brighten” their day and provide a friendly visitor to check in on them.

0 – 2 hrs/week

Every other

Thursday: 1pm – 6pm

or Friday: 10am – 5pm

11^th Hour Volunteer Program

Specially-trained volunteers provide bedside support while patients are actively drying.  These volunteers can hold a hand, offer prayers and provide a comforting presence through the last hours of loved ones’ life.

0 – 4 hrs/week

Any day: all hours

Companionship Visitor

Volunteers support patients by making weekly visits to combat loneliness and provide social interaction.  Each volunteer is assigned to his or her own patient.

1 – 2 hrs/week

Any day: 9am – 6pm

Animal-Assisted Therapy

Animals and their Handlers provide visits to patients to promote improvement in emotional, social, or physical well-being.  Pets must have current vaccinations, annual check-up and other requirements.

2 hrs/week

Any day: 9am – 6pm

Super Flower Volunteers

These volunteers support our Brighter Day Flower Delivery program by arranging flowers for the patients every other week.

2 – 3 hrs every other week

Thursday: 11am – 2pm

On-call Volunteers

The On-call Volunteer Team provides assistance in times of emergencies or urgent needs of patients or their family.  These volunteers are available on a certain day/time each week.  Usually called to volunteer once a month.

2 - 4 hrs/month

Memory Keepers

Volunteers interview patients and their family members to help them reminisce and record their lives.  These recordings are then presented to the family after the death of their loved one.

4 - 8 hrs/month

Any day: 9am – 6pm

Respite Support

For many caregivers, the stress and burden or caring for a loved one can often times become overwhelming.  Volunteers can provide respite support by staying with a patient so their loved one can take a break, run errands etc.

2 – 3 hrs/week

Any day: 9am – 10pm

Not Forgotten

Volunteers are needed to visit the bereaved family members and friends of our hospice patients to provide companionship and special visits after the death of their loved one.

0 – 2 hrs/week

Weekdays: 9am – 6pm

Hair and Nail Care

Everyone deserves to feel beautiful – help our hospice patients get their hair or nails in tip-top shape.

2 – 4 hrs/month

Weekdays: 9am – 6pm

Birthday Crew

Celebrate our patient’s special day by surprising them with decorations, cards and gifts.

2 - 4 hrs/month

Any day: 12pm – 6pm

Holiday Crew

Deliver colorful decorations to our patient’s rooms and their facilities to celebrate special holidays.

2 – 4 hrs/month

Any day: 9am – 6pm

Office Support

Volunteers can support our patients by helping in the office with filing, marketing, and other general office tasks.

2 – 4 hrs/week

Weekdays: 9am – 5pm
